Literature Text

Every waking hour
& every breath she takes
She wonders off into her dreamland
To escape from this lonesome sphere.

A world she has created,
A world that empathized her every feeling,
A world in which she could regain peace,
Altough battles were never won.

Her voice is her only weapon
& if you listen closely
you could hear her heart pouring:

"In this land that I call home
only angels hear my voice,
I have traveled far & wide
but no one seems to speak my tongue,
A foreigner in my own land of growth

Even though my tears did flood the land,
No one seemes to feel the lake
that sweepes beneath their feet.
But here, at home, the angels weep
before I even shed a drop
& with their warm embrace
they protect me from darkness."

Wondering why such a fair maiden
alone she stays?
Living in her own fairy tale,
No one to call her own?

Hear her sing her swan song,
Getting closer to freedom,
with every word she bleeds:

"I was once a fairy queen,
when home was at peace.
A guiding hand showing me the way,
protecting me from all,
Shedding light even on the shadows.

One day all was tarnished,
everything set ablaze,
I was lost in the forest,
watching my home burn down.
All was lost & never to be found.

I searched for my guardian all around me,
I could feel his presence but I could not see!
Where has he gone? why has he left me?
I never walked this earth alone before
I always had someone to run to!

Even though I felt him by my side
the world was getting dimmer,
Each passing day darkness surpassed
Until it was all pitch black
& my own world I had to create...

...In this land that I call home
only angels hear my voice,
I have traveled far & wide
but no one seems to speak my tongue,
A foreigner in my own land of growth

Even though my tears did flood the land,
No one seems to feel the lake
that sweeps beneath their feet.
But here, at home, the angels weep
before I even shed a drop
& with their warm embrace
they protect me from my darkness."

It is a poem 5 years in the making! I started it 5 years ago and never finished it! Now I managed to get back to it, re-live the emotions and alter and completed it =]

I'm very happy with it!
